  I go down, hand her the receipt, ask where my food is. She doesn't respond, hands the receipt to the cook. He looked confused and said, "el estaba arriba?" It appears even though I told her the order was to stay and that I would be upstairs, and she walked by me several times, they thought I had paid for my food and just left. Mistakes happen, its all good. But the most irritating part about this is that at no point did anyone apologize for making me wait 40 f@#$ing minutes for a donair.

  I ordered, told the cashier it was to stay, and told her I'd be at a table upstairs. She walked by me several times to bring other people their food, including bringing food to a couple who arrived 15 minutes after me and at this point I'd been waiting 30 minutes for a donair.

  She handed me the food without saying a word and managed to look annoyed that I was annoyed. I've been to Istanbul (its amazing), the service was always over the top friendly and accommodating, as had been my experience in Barcelona up to that point. Everyone has been super friendly. So I honestly don't know what they hell their problem was and why they were so rude to me.

  Good food, terrible service. As I waited in line they had messed up the persons order ahead of me and the cook was berating the cashier about being more clear on the orders. Perhaps he had a point.
