  The location of the museum is worth a visit itself. Located on a mountain with the magic fountain underneath it. Looks absolutely beautiful.

  With a ground surface of 32,000 m², the Spanish Renaissance-inspired building has a rectangular floor plan flanked by two side and one rear square sections, with an elliptical dome in the centre. The fountains by the staircases leading to the palace are the work of Carles Buïgas.

  Bought a ticket and went in without any expectations. I was blown away by the paintings and the archeological things in this museum. It looks amazing, its very clean (the toilets too!) and you can use the bought ticket to return the next 2 days, so if you want to recheck something you don't have to buy another ticket.

  Yet, the building is almost empty inside. It has few items about the modern art!

  The Palau Nacional (Catalan for ‘National Palace’) was the main site of the 1929 International Exhibition on the hill of Montjuïc in Barcelona. It was designed by Eugenio Cendoya and Enric Catà under the supervision of Pere Domènech i Roura.[1] Since 1934 it has been home to the National Art Museum of Catalonia.

  Awesome building, really interesting museum, you can see various historical and temporary items, in the Gaudi section you feel like in IKEA, ahhahaaha, there is also a place to take a snack and to rest as the museum is huge, took me over 4 hours to see it all. You can even go to the roof. The ticket is active for two days which is really thoughtful and a nice gesture towards the tired tourists. I am even positive towards seeing this museum again, the architecture is impressive, just no doubt that everyone should visit it.
