Absolutely amazing variety of collections. One of the best medieval collections I have ever seen. Info around it is poor and at times the collections are overwhelming. Best to visit over a few days.

After seeing nearly 30 countries, and visiting museums in all those countries, this is probably the most terrible museum I have ever, ever been to. We went on the day it was free, and I feel bad that I will never be able to get this time back. This man clearly had more taste than money. This museum has morbid paintings, ugly sculptures, a billion crucifixes, and so much more. If you want to see the over-the-top side of Christianity and Catholicism, then go. But going through this museum was painful. Do not even bother going. There are so many better things to see in Barcelona.

Tickets at this museum are valid for some time after your first visit, and that's a good thing because there's a lot to see. The first two floors have a pretty solid collection of sculpture (including more crucifixes than you can count), but the top two floors -- the collector's cabinet -- are the real gem. A room filled with old keys? Check. A room filled with fans? Absolutely. A room filled with cards and matchbook covers? An absolute must see.

I was very well impressed to visit this Museum. It was never my first option I admit it. But once you get in you quickly find out the incredibly amount of interesting objects collected through the years by this man. You can get in for free sometimes and a couple of hours inside are enough to travel to the past and see curious objects of the most diverse classes... If you have more than a couple of days in BCN then make yourself the favor of visiting this place.

Great inner garden to have a break during a walk in the old town. Affordable drinks are available. The museum worths the visit.
