  Lost my passport in the airport, went to the consulate the next day with a photo copy of my passport and student residency card and they were able to create a new one that day. I had to leave after being there for 45 minutes for work and they said they would hold it for me. Losing my passport was extremely stressful, thank you for providing such a stress free experience! If you lose your passport remember to bring 5 euros (for the photo booth machine), a credit card/cash to pay for the new passport and any photo id/photo copy of your passport that you have.

  My wife got passport stolen on thanksgiving day. Us consulate open on Friday after thanksgiving day. We went to consulate 9 am and got her replacement passport at 10.45. All staffs are excellent and polite.

  I lost my passport and had to get a replacement quickly since I was traveling in a few days. Before I went to the consulate I email with them to confirm their hours. They returned my email almost immediately with the information. I arrived at the consulate when it opened at 9am and went through security and then to the U.S. Citizen services area. I had to complete paperwork and get a passport photo taken. After walking in the door at 9am I walked out the door at 10:15am. This was by far the best, most professional, most courteous service I have EVER experienced with ANY governmental service office of any country. Great job Barcelona! I am extremely impressed.

  My mom's passport was stolen the night before she was supposed to leave Barcelona. We got to the consulate when they opened the next day, and Ana and Teresa saved the day and got her a temporary passport in only 30 min, so my mom was able to make her flight... Unbelievable! Super helpful and nice!!
