  Beautiful architecture in this hidden spot. Unfortunately there are homeless-looking people in the patio that make the place look a bit unsafe

  You can just go there if you are a researcher and then you have to tell them exactly what you want to do there. It's a shame that it is not open for people who just want to study and work in a quiet area. The other library (biblioteca sant pau) is just far too noisy!!

  For researchers, the quietest corners of the BC are the rare book room ("reserva" and the end of the third nave, at the far end of this U-shaped structure.

  The third-largest research library in Spain by number of volumes, and the most beautiful. Getting into the reading rooms means registering as a reader, but more often than not the lobby is host to small temporary exhibitions. The staff by the lockers will wave you through if you say you have come to see an exhibition, or to ask about registering.

  Disappointed- they didn't allow me to enter because of my little trolley where i keep the laptop. The library is small and you need to ask reception for keys to access the toilet.
