  We could hear all the neighbours movements; small room but confortable, and amazing staff - we carried a cat and they provided (upon request) the litter and bowls to her food. Located in a pretty far away place.

  My point of all of this is: if I am paying 4 star prices, I would expect a much better experience. I'm not particularly frugal but I truthfully have to say that I regret the cost versus quality relationship that we experienced during our stay. It sucked.

  NOT a 4*. We stayed here for 3 nights on a first floor room, windows facing the street. Room was very noisy from traffic outside, neighbouring rooms and hallway. The street gets quite some traffic from scooter riders getting up the hill! The pool on the rooftop is very small and not fit for swimming as the water is shallow. There's a good selection of both savory and continental options at the buffet breakfast. But the service made it feel like a school cafeteria. Cutlery would often be dropped on the floor by the stuff cleaning up the tables. I will not return here.

  I totally didn't like the fact that the hotel canceled my reservation with just 2 hours before I arrived, because they were unable to book the reservation payment from my credit card. They sent me a message while I was traveling (in the plane) but I only found out about it when I arrived at the hotel. I was lucky that nobody else booked the room before I arrived.

  I actually needed to iron a shirt during my stay, which is a bit of a 5 year event for me. Thus, I asked for an ironing board and iron. I was informed that I would need to pick these items up from reception. I'm not delicate but this somewhat offended my sensibilities as I was under the impression that this was a 4 star hotel. If this was the Middle East or anywhere in Asia, the staff would be practically falling over themselves to deliver them.

  Breakfast is not too bad in content but we felt somewhat bad that we inconvenienced the staff by actually turning up for it in the morning. I've had more politeness out of a drill instructor in basic training.

  Pretty expensive for a shoebox but I don't reckon that this is much of an eye raiser seeing as it's not too far from the main nucleus of Barcelona, provided that you consider a 40 minute walk "not too far".

  Nice and clean hotel with a central position not far from Lesseps metro station. A bit expensive for the room, I think a breakfast should be included!

  The hotel is pretty close to the Lesseps metro station, but you need to be aware that you need to climb a pretty steep hill from the station to the hotel.

  The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean, although the furniture is quite old and used.
